known by many as Coach Monroe is a basketball coach with an immense passion for the betterment of athletes both on and off the court. Though he had an immense passion for basketball, he was also a very talented football player, going on to have a collegiate football career at Mississippi valley State University. During this time, he still found time to hone his basketball teaching and coaching abilities as he would often sit in on team practices and even pick the brain of the coaching staff at MVSU from time to time.

Upon graduating college, he was awarded his first coaching job as the head boys basketball coach at Coleman Middle School in Greenville, MS. His team went 16-1 that year. He went on to have a 6-year tenure at CMS where he won over 65 games and suffered only 19 total losses. From there he went on to be as assistant coach at Greenville High School. In his four-year tenure as an assistant the varsity team won 2 District Titles and finished in the final four of the state 6A playoffs once.

He is also heavily involved in AAU basketball. He has worked with several programs in the state of MS but ultimately has founded a program of his own in his hometown of Greenville, MS. He founded Greenville Elite Grizzlies Youth Basketball in 2018 and this organization has continued to grow and develop athletes in the MS Delta.

This Greenville native is determined to change the perception of delta area athletes and give many athletes an opportunity to better the future of their families through basketball.

Greenville High school statistical assistant coach. 4 years experience  .  High school and youth trainer 13 years experience 

Greenville Park commission youth and high school coach 14 years experience.  GREENVILLE GRIZZLIES AAU Assistant coach 3 years experience.

Sher'Michael Young better known as Lil Mike is the reason MTL was even started. He was the first client of this organization and has grown daily from the work that he has put in. He has played high school basketball in Georgia with the Valdosta High School Wildcats and in Mississippi with the Greenville High School Hornets. He is in the process of preparing for college and he works as a trainer and mentor for MTL. This young man has a future in the game of basketball as a coach and we couldnt be more happier to have him aboard. 

Mario Rhodes is a former 4 year letterman at Greenville High School, 2 year starter at Mississippi Delta Community College and has played professional for 4 years in the ABA. He works with kids in the Dallas area and has been a big part in working with MTL to give back and help kids in our community. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the organization especially at working with guards. 

Roy Riley is a former high school basketball player for the Greenville High School Hornets.

Roy has benn know to be one of the better shooters to come out of Greenville, MS and he is our shooting coach because of that. Roy has worked with the youth for over 8 years with his church and community work at Mississippi Valley State University. Roy will reciece his bachalor degree in Sports Manangement  May 2023. We love passion and knowledge that Roy brings to MTL.

Leah has been a major help to MTL. She has taken on the role of administrative assistant and helped the organization recieve funds and supplies to help with camps and clinics. Also, we have scholarships named in honor of her late father Harvey Gales.
